The Change Starts With You!

You Can Make A Difference In Our Community!

At House of Grace Ministries, we believe that we are our brothers keeper & reach out in love to those who need a helping hand to move forward in life!  We invest in people and believe that with God, "all things are possible."  We are a volunteer team with our main concentration in the greater Danbury, CT area.

Whether someone is homeless or an individual/family in a crisis situation, we reach out to address the immediate needs as funds allow.  Food, clothing, basic needs such as bus passes, personal care products and guiding an individual with available social services for their specific situation are some of the things that we assist with.

We are primarily active in outreaches in the greater Danbury, CT area:

  • Weekly community food distribution - for our local veterans, families/individuals who are in need of food, household supplies and basic needs.
  • Step Up Into Housing - for the homeless moving into apartments, providing furniture and household items
  • We are also, ready to pray for individuals as needs arise believing that God can turn situations around for good

This was a faith based program that opened in 2010 which provided housing and assistance for male, homeless veterans. The season for this program came to an end the last quarter of 2024 and all our veterans have been successfully housed. We are thankful for the many men whose lives have been restored because through this group home program.   We now have a lead volunteer who identifies our most vulnerable local veterans, assisting them with food, basic needs and guiding them to the proper resources that are available for veterans through the VA and other organizations such as DAV, Catholic War Veterans, etc.
